You will be asked to complete a short form with the support you are looking for when you arrive.

Take a look below at what the IT Support at RAP includes, and does NOT include.


IT Support at RAP includes:

  • Basic troubleshooting (device slow, storage full, Wi-Fi issues, app not working)

  • Updating devices and apps (as long as you know your Apple ID/Google account passwords)

  • Basic settings guidance (notifications, accessibility, language, security settings)

  • Find the right place to reset passwords (email, government services, banking navigation only)

  • Explain how 2FA (two-factor authentication) works and help set up authenticator apps

  • Basic help on printing and scanning set up, saving PDFs, uploading/downloading files

  • Basic Microsoft Office / Google Docs help (formatting, saving, sharing)


IT Support at RAP does NOT include:

  • Data migration / full device-to-device transfer (phone to phone, laptop)

  • Operating system installation / reinstallation (Windows/macOS/Linux), including dual-boot

  • Full backups + restores, or “restore everything exactly how it was”

  • Recovering lost data from damaged drives/phones or deleted files

  • Complex app reconfiguration (e.g., re-setting up dozens of apps after a phone reset)

  • Hardware repair services (opening devices, replacing parts, soldering, screen/battery swaps)

  • Bypassing security controls (unlocking phones, breaking encryption, circumventing Apple/Google protections)
