DROP IN CENTRE FOR RANUI YOUTHYOUTH LEADERSHIP REREAT Ranui 135 will be holding its fourth leadership camp in 2007. This has been a continuous development with the aim of establishing a strong network of youth leaders within our community. Many of the leaders who have come though this camp are now involved in the planning and facilitation of Ranui 135 activities. This years leadership retreat aims to build on this core group of individuals as well as identify and encourage some new young leaders and possibly network with some other Ranui youth organizations.
RAISE THE LEVEL TALENT QUEST Raise the level will be back for its fourth instalment in 2007. Over the years we have seen many talented youngsters use this as an opportunity to cut their teeth and perform in front of crowds of up to 700 people. Young singers, dancers and entertainers, if you or someone you know is interested in performing, please contact Rob Luisi on 833 6286.
Raise The Level is a great family evening out and an opportunity to encourage our talented young people.
MONKEE ELO`S SPORTS Ranui 135 is also home to the Monkee Elo`s sports team. From October to March we run Touch at Ranui school on Wednesday evenings from 6pm till dark. This is free and open to anyone who wishes to participate. We also enter two teams in the Massey touch module. One mixed and one mens, for those who wish to develop and test their skill. We are always on the look out for interested players. As well as the touch schedule, we take teams away to sports camps in September, December and January. Participants partake in a multitude of sports activities ranging from common sports such as basketball to less common ones such as petanque. These are extremely enjoyable experiences and particpants look forward to them each year.
